About C&DTraining Limited

Brief history of the company and its evolution

C&DTraining Limited was formed by Dawn and Carol as a part time business venture in early 2010 initially delivering teaching qualifications within the lifelong learning sector (now known as the Further education and skills sector). The business was so successful and grew rapidly that we both gave up our paid jobs to concentrate on the business full time.

We offer a wide range of courses including teaching qualifications at Award, Certificate and Diploma level, first aid training and associated Health and Safety subjects.

We also offer Event Medical First aid cover. This can range from local village fetes to large public events.

We have built up an excellent framework of reliable and dynamic trainers and appropriately qualified event staff, covering a large part of the country – Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, West Midlands and North London and so are not restricted to just our local area.

'Our aim is to deliver inclusive training to meet ever evolving market needs'

Our experience as trainers/training provider include

Within our many years of training we have been involved in various roles including school liaison, Training and Development, Qualifications and Standards, Operational management of open water Search and Rescue, Customer Service and Account Management.

These roles have all involved the design and delivery of courses, workshops and resources to meet specific learners’ needs at both local and national levels, for both internal and external users and for differing ages and abilities. These roles not only included the design and delivery of first aid courses/workshops at different levels (basic awareness to mountain leader) but also included topics such as leadership, motivation, team building, open water search and rescue, trainer training and presentation skills. A wide variety of audiences and age ranges have been involved from individual one to one tuition to audiences of 100+.

One project involved the design and delivery of a programme to 24 qualified trainer trainers to enable them to deliver the ‘Certificate to teach in the lifelong learning sector’ to approximately 1000 members of staff nationally.

Group management has involved learners from as young as 5 years and learners with varied abilities and needs. We have both delivered training, including first aid, to disadvantaged groups and groups with behavioural problems and also within prison environments.

All courses and workshops designed have encompassed the teaching, learning and assessment cycles from identification of needs, planning and design through to delivery, assessment and evaluation.

In summary our experience is vast, varied and diverse in all aspects of design, delivery, group management and differing target audiences.
